3 Ways To Drink More Water
3 Ways To Drink More Water: After doing some research, it became clear that nobody knows the origin of the adage that states you should consume eight cups of water each day. Some people say that it can be traced back to a study conducted in the 1980s, while others claim that physicians began recommending that amount to patients because they thought it was a good goal, but they did not have any scientific research to back it up at the time.
It should be evident that drinking water is beneficial to your body and your brain. Water has long been recognised for its ability to rid the intestines and other parts of the urinary tract and the rest of the body of potentially harmful chemicals. If we don’t get enough water, our bodies will start to waste away very quickly within a few days. However, some people can survive for up to a week or two without food. This demonstrates how critical water is to the proper functioning of our bodies.
Here are three quick pointers to help you drink more water.
1.Ensure that you always have access to water.
It is convenient for me to purchase water in bottles of 12 fluid ounces and store them in the refrigerator. When I go to the gym, I always bring a water bottle with me. I take a bottle with me when I leave for work in the morning. I always grab a bottle before going on a drive that will be at least half an hour long. When I watch a movie, I always have a bottle with me.
When I am seated and watching television or a movie, you can always find me with the bottle in my hand and the cap removed. I drink from the bottle in a steady stream of short sips until it is empty. Making sure water is easy to get is a great way to drink more water.
2. Make sure it stays cold.
I don’t know many people who enjoy drinking water at room temperature, and I certainly am not one of them. You will consume more water if you keep it in the refrigerator. Because I take the time to ensure that my freezer is stocked with ice at all times, I can quickly and easily enjoy a refreshingly cold glass of water whenever the mood strikes me.
3. When dining out, always order water.
When I go out to restaurants, I always order a glass of water with a slice of lemon. The lemon imparts a tangy quality to the flavour, and the water is consistently lovely, crisp, and refreshing to drink. After a short period, you will find that you no longer desire your previous beverage of choice and will start to enjoy the taste, or lack of taste, that water provides.
Your body will be grateful to you if you drink plenty of water.
