Shane Quintana Tormes: Philippines finally bags Miss Global crown- Shane Quintana Tormes of the Philippines won the ninth edition of Miss Global on June 11 in Bali, Indonesia, becoming the country’s first Miss Global winner. Tormes is a seasoned competitor in local and national beauty pageants, having learned her craft at the Kagandahang Flores beauty camp.

She has competed in the Bb. Pilipinas pageant and was crowned Miss Philippines-Fire in the 2020 Miss Philippines Earth competition. Tormes also won the Miss Talent award at the Miss Global pageant in 2022. Sandra Lim of Malaysia, Brooke Rankin of Australia, Sandra Boris of Lithuania, and Natalia Gurgel of Brazil are among the runners-up. Because of the COVID-19 epidemic, no competitions were held in 2020 or 2021. However, the pageant did crown a winner in 2021, as well as Tormes as the 2022 queen.
